Not your average Hebrew school.

Our Community

The sounds of laughter, tefillah (prayer), and Hebrew songs fill the halls. Walk into any room and you'll find students enthusiastically engaged in learning — through movement, music and dance, arts and craft, games, and special programs.

Our community is unique. JYC students come from all different backgrounds. Students feel comfortable sharing their families' traditions and insights with their broader JYC community.

The Jewish Youth Connection experience includes group classes on varying Jewish topics and one-on-one tutoring in Hebrew reading and writing. We have an 80% literacy rate in students enrolled at JYC for 2+ years.

At JYC, we believe that every student deserves a quality Jewish education and meaningful Jewish experience.

Our Core Values

Inclusive Jewish Education

JYC gives your child the opportunity to learn about Jewish history, tradition, and current events in a warm, open, and immersive environment.

Textual literacy

All JYC students — from our youngest learners to our graduating members — develop an understanding of Hebrew characters and texts and leave our program with the background to pursue further Jewish education.

Nurturing Lifelong Love

At JYC, we believe that a relationship and a connection with Judaism first and foremost grows from love for our culture, history, and texts. We commit to teaching your child about Judaism in a creative, engaging, and fun way.

Build Family & Community

Through our family programming, you will discover the community you may not have known existed. Parent-child learning, community service, and holiday events will allow your family to learn, grow, and connect — all together.

Our Offerings

Personalized Tutoring

Students are given the opportunity to hone their Hebrew reading and writing skills with a 1 on 1 tutor sitting and working with them.

Torah Education

Teachers work with students on gaining familiarity with the stories of the Torah and Jewish heritage, giving our students a sense of history and belonging.

Family and Holiday Programming

The Jewish yearly cycle is one of the most unifying parts of Jewish tradition. Our goal is to familiarize our students with that yearly cycle, and ensure their families are a part of the celebration!

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Education

The Bar/Bat Mitzvah process has the potential to be so impactful on the lifelong Jewish identity of our children. We work with students individually to help them develop original ideas about their Torah portions and gain a sense of ownership over their Judaism.

Our Students

And these words which I command you today shall remain in your heart. And you shall teach them diligently to your children. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
